Fleet uses a secure connection to your Deel platform — powered by Finch, an industry-leading HRIS integration platform — to automatically sync your employee roster. This streamlines eligibility tracking, onboarding, and ongoing program management, saving your internal team an estimated 20–40 hours per month.

This guide walks your team through the exact steps required to connect your Deel account to Fleet using secure OAuth authentication.

This is one of the quickest integrations to set up since Deel uses streamlined OAuth authentication without requiring complex user management.

🔧 Deel Integration Setup

Deel integration uses OAuth authentication, making it one of the most secure and user-friendly integrations. No additional user accounts or complex permissions are required.

Before you start

  • Ensure you have Administrator access to your Deel account

  • Verify that you can log into Deel with your standard credentials

  • Have your Deel username and password ready

Instructions

Step 1: Connect Using Fleet's HRIS Connection Widget

  1. Navigate to your Fleet Dashboard

  2. If you're not automatically redirected to the HRIS connection step, go to: My Commuters → Add Commuters → Connect HRIS

  3. This will launch Fleet's HRIS Connection Widget (powered by our secure HRIS partner, Finch)

  4. In the widget's search bar, search for "Deel" in the provider list

  5. Select Deel to begin the setup flow

  6. Click Connect to start the OAuth authentication process

Step 2: Authenticate with Deel

  1. A new window will open requesting your Deel credentials

  2. Enter your Username and Password for your Deel account

  3. Click Log In to authenticate

⚠️ Security Note: Your credentials are processed directly by Deel and are not stored by Fleet or Finch. This OAuth process creates a secure, revocable connection token.

Step 3: Authorize Data Access

  1. Deel may present you with a permissions screen showing what data will be shared

  2. Review the requested permissions (typically employee directory and basic employment data)

  3. Click Authorize or Allow to grant Fleet access to your Deel data

  4. The window will close automatically once authorization is complete

Step 4: Confirm Connection

  1. Return to Fleet's HRIS Connection Widget

  2. You'll receive confirmation once your connection has been successfully set up

  3. The widget will display a success message and may show a preview of your employee data

Step 5: Verify Data Sync

After successful connection, Fleet will begin syncing your employee data from Deel:

  1. The initial sync typically completes within 5-10 minutes

  2. Ongoing updates happen automatically every 24 hours

  3. You can verify the connection by:

    • Checking your Fleet dashboard for imported employee data

    • Confirming that employee count matches your expectations

    • Reviewing any sync status messages or notifications
